One of our favourite clients recently trusted us to work with them in creating Vision@MIP - an internal collaboration during which we worked with the EXCO to garner staff support in creating their ultimate Vision for the company. It was a fun, rewarding but challenging project that combined a number of elements.
Like most projects this was the starting point and here I'm really thrilled with what our creative genius team came up with. As we were dealing with a companies Vision we decided that creating a logo that was an optical illusion really gave credence to the fact that we all see things from a different perspective - that's what makes life so interesting, don't you think? The logo's great - well, we think so!
Each element of this project was highly creative and everything that we produced had the 'Vision@MIP' logo proudly displayed along side other creative tools to enhance the uniqueness of the initiative. As invitations the staff received Writables (from the inspiring Humanwrites company) that were hand delivered with a branded t-shirt which everyone wore to the two functions (in Cape Town and Johannesburg) so even before the official launch there was excitement garnered and a sense of 'what is going on?'. Banners, pens, email correspondence, desk drops and prizes were all branded with quirky comments and words of wisdom from many greats who had used vision as their defining genius.
The official launches took place in the two main business hubs for MIP during which all 200 staff were present and sitting on the edge of their seats for the big reveal. Dion Chang, Flux Trends, kicked off by presenting 'A day in the life of the Tech Savvy consumer' which is a mind-blowing look at how quickly technology and continues to infiltrate our lives. Next saw the MIP Directors make use of an interactive and knowledge sharing multimedia presentation which took them on a brief but detailed journey of why now, why Vision@MIP and what that meant to the staff. Delivered in their unique and entertaining ways three of the Directors encouraged each staff member to get involved - what's more there were some pretty generous prizes on offer!
MIP is a technology driven business; it therefore made sense for us to pin this collaboration on the use of it! Every avenue of the project took us back to the uniquely creative, fun, interactive but ultimately practical website - it was like the melting pot of creativity seeing the staff connect, share and inspire each other and themselves. There was an interactive portal, a company forum and daily email campaigns that built and maintained the energy and enthusiasm for over the six weeks that the full project ran through.
Pulling projects like this together is a skill far too under-utilised by the TVB team - we have some pretty formidable control freaks here and project management is right up their alley! Vision@MIP was planned down to the minute detail making the project run smoothly and ultimately effectively.
